8. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel this purchase, starting from the date you receive your kit. To exercise this right, email team@helvy.co.uk before opening the kit.
When the right is lost: Because the kit contains sealed sample-collection components, your right to cancel is lost once you open the inner hygiene seals (lancet, sample tube, or transport bag). This is under Regulation 28(3)(a) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exempts sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons.
- If you cancel before opening the kit, we will refund the full price within 14 days of receiving your cancellation
- If you have already broken the kit's hygiene seals, your right to cancel under the Regulations is lost
- If your sample is insufficient for analysis, we will send a replacement kit at no additional cost (separate from your statutory right)
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 working days
Supplement subscriptions
A supplement subscription is a contract for the regular delivery of goods. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel the subscription, starting from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive your first delivery (Regulation 30(4)). To exercise this right, cancel from your account page or email team@helvy.co.uk.
When the right is lost for opened bottles: Each supplement bottle is sealed for health-protection and hygiene reasons. Under Regulation 28(3)(a) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, your right to cancel is lost in respect of any bottle whose seal you have broken. Unopened, sealed bottles from your first delivery remain refundable if you cancel within the 14-day period.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions are billed quarterly (every 3 months) to your chosen payment method and renew automatically each quarter until you cancel. Prices are shown per month for comparison, but the actual charge is the quarterly amount shown at checkout, which covers a 3-month supply. There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you will not be charged again, and no further boxes will ship after that period ends.
- Cancel any time from your account page, or by emailing team@helvy.co.uk from the address on your account
- If you cancel within 14 days of your first delivery, we will refund that delivery (less any bottles with broken seals) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods
- Return postage for a cancelled first delivery is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 working days
9. Limitation of liability
Helvy provides health information and recommendations. We are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not liable for any health decisions you make based on our results or recommendations. Always seek the advice of your GP or other qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition.
